Amanda Harrison

amandaharrisonphoto.jpgAmanda has previously worked as a Flying Instructor at schools in the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire but has recently joined the team at Denham. Amanda has always enjoyed a passion for flying and now describes her career teaching people to fly as "living the dream." She has a frozen ATPL.

Before embarking on a career in aviation Amanda enjoyed a very varied career, with jobs as diverse as being a PA through to teaching prisoners! Her passion for anything that flies started when she was very young and extends to birds. Over the years she has looked after countless injured birds of prey. Nowadays, ‘Ivy' the Tawny Owl is last of her brood but she is staying temporarily at ‘Hogwarts' (Mum and Dads) while Amanda travels around the country teaching people to fly Cirrus aircraft.

Amanda works actively for two other flying related charities - "Flying Scholarships for the Disabled", and "fly2help.org" - both of which are very close to her heart.  In 2007 she entered the Pooleys "Dawn to Dusk" competition - visiting 14 airfields in just over nine hours. You may have read about her adventures in the many articles she has written for Pilot, Go Flying! and other aviation magazines.

In 2006 Amanda raced in the 75th anniversary Schneider Trophy Air Race, an event she recalls as one of the highlights of her flying career (so far!). She has also flown down Loch Ness and crossed the Irish Sea to fly seaplanes at Enniskillen.   Over the years Amanda has flown a variety of aeroplanes including the Havard, Decathlon and Tiger Moth...the latter being her favourite type (after the Cirrus of course!).

Amanda considers safety to be paramount in flying, which is why she loves flying the Cirrus aircraft we have at TAA UK, and teaching people how to fly their own aircraft to the best of their abilities.

Roger "Perfect" Gilles

photo_-_roger_gilles_-_website.jpgRoger is an experienced instructor with over 2200 hours and comes to TAA UK with a huge reputation...all good, I must add!!  Commercial training was completed at Stapleford, followed by Multi Engine Instrument Rating at the slightly more exotic Malaga International. Roger then embarked on his commercial career as the Traffic Pilot for Global Traffic Network out of Oxford.

Roger has a very calming influence on everyone he meets and believes in making all his students into the safest pilots they can be, which is of course the TAA UK philosophy! He also comes with glass cockpit experience, specifically the G1000 (DA40).

One of Roger’s specialities is organising trips, so has been given free rein to put together some fun outings for Cirrus pilots of all capabilities (look out for emails!!).

When not flying, his hobbies include property development, which he is equally as good at, and he has two children who keep him grounded (and poor!) at all times!

John Page

john.jpgJohn Page is co-owner of of TAA UK Ltd, as well as Director, the Chief Flying Instructor and general guru on all things Cirrus and Glass Cockpit.

John started his Aviaiton career with Aerial Photography in 1998, but quickly went on to get his Commercial licence and Instructor Rating and spent his initial instructing years at Denham Aerodrome.

He is both a JAA and FAA instructor (specialising in FAA Instrument Ratings), a CAA Examiner, and THE most experienced Cirrus Instructor (CSIP) in the UK with over 3500 hours on type. John is also safety pilot to a variety of our customers who now own their own aircraft...TBM 700, 850 and a new PC12.

Wendy Littlejohn

photo_-_wendy_-_website_2.jpgWendy Littlejohn is the Managing Director, as well as co-owner of TAA UK.

Wendy started her career in Aviation over seven years ago, 'accidentally', after finding herself in a temp position for 5 months in Aircraft Sales. She absolutely fell in love with the industry after the first month and has never looked back since.

Other passions include cars, specifically chucking them around (thanks John G for the loan of your Aston and for remaining calm whilst I had an evil grin on my face!), and dancing (thanks to Colin F, also).

Future?...to retire knowing that each of our students who passed through TAA UK over the years will always be safe and take with them everything they learned here for the rest of their flying career.
